PATIENTS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECIEVE A COVID-19 VACCINATION WILL BE INVITED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
It is really important that you make arrangements to have the vaccine so that together we can return to some state of normal.  If you have not received a letter, phone call or text message to book a vaccines, please do not worry, we will notify everyone in priority order when the vaccine becomes available.  We would be grateful if you do not telephone the practice or hospital, please wait to be invited.

Prescription Requests
Please Note: From 28th September 2020 you will have to order repeat medication directly via your GP practice, not via your pharmacy or medical equipment supplier.  
We are no longer accepting telephone requests for prescriptions.  Please use one of the available apps i.e. patient access, you can mail your request to the surgery remember to address it to Abbey Road Surgery.  We have a drop of box in the main entrance of the building, please use the intercom for access or you can email your request to mbccg.prescriptionsabbeyroadsurgery@nhs.net please dont forget to include your name, DOB & with all requests please nominate your chosen chemist for collection.

Patient Access

GP and Nurse appointments are available at evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
These are available via Cumbria Health on Call.  To book an appointment, speak to your GP practice or call 03000 247 247.


Secretarial & Administration


LisaLisa M

Lisa is one of our Medical Secretaries, she co-ordinates NHS and Private referrals on behalf of the clinicians, she also co-ordinates with Insurance Companies on behalf of the clinicians.  Lisa is the administrator for the Gold Standard Framework (GSF) & Safeguarding.

Lisa is also our Reception Team Leader, she is responsible for the smooth running of our reception services.
AnitaAnita

Anita is a secretary & administrator who has responsibility for read-coding & scanning documents on to our computer system.  she co-ordinates NHS and Private referrals on behalf of the clinicians  She also covers in the absence of the administration & reception teams.

Gemma is our Medicines Manager, she works closely with the Furness Locaility Care Quality Commissioning Group in helping to provide the best patient care.



Reception


KatieK. Brand

Katie  is our prescribing administrator working behind the scenes, providing support to our GP's in the receipt and preparation of prescriptions to ensure the safe prescribing of medicines.  She is the main point of contact for prescription queries.  

Katie is also part of the reception team .  She works on reception dealing with patient queries and making appointments.  She also assists with the updating of patient registrations for new and existing patients.

Christine is a receptionist with administration duties.  She works on reception dealing with patient queries and making appointments.  Christine also looks after our baby checks.
