Noticeboard

The surgery will be closed as follows over Christmas/New Year:
-  Tuesday 25th December       (Christmas Day)
-  Wednesday 26th December   (Boxing Day)
-  Tuesday 1st January             (New Year's Day)

We will be open as normal between these dates from 8.00am to 6.30pm.

Download our new appointment bookings app to your smartphone for free. myGP was developed to make access to healthcare easier and faster for patients. Once downloaded, simply log-in with your date of birth and mobile number and add the people you care for, allowing you to book and cancel appointments for them. It’s really that easy! GP and Nurse appointments are available at evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
These are available via Cumbria Health on Call.  To book an appointment, speak to your GP practice or call 03000 247 247.

Non-NHS Services


Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • non_nhs_services1Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates


The fees charges are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our Secretarial Staff will be happy to advise you about them.  When telephoning the surgery please select option 2.

For the availability of appointments please contact a member of the reception team using option 3.

We would like to inform you that the Doctor will try and complete your letter/form as quickly as possible, however this could take between 4 and 6 weeks to process.
